11 oz sublimation mugs are typically made of white ceramic and coated with a special polymer layer to accept sublimation inks. Key Considerations for Sublimation:
Sublimation Coating:
The special polymer coating on the mug is crucial for the sublimation process, allowing the ink to bond with the surface.
Image Size and Placement:
It's important to ensure the image is sized correctly for the printable area and positioned appropriately on the mug.
Heat Tape:
Heat-resistant tape is used to secure the sublimation transfer paper to the mug during the pressing process.
Proper Ventilation:
Since sublimation releases fumes, it's important to work in a well-ventilated area.
